An efficient summary of the content obtained after a testing phase.
Cubbit is an Italian startup that is creating a 100% private, secure and green cloud storage solution.
The zero-knowledge distributed architecture is based on peer-to-peer cells in the hands of users: all together they form the Swarm. This unique architecture has three key advantages: users always have total control over their files, the highest level of security possible, and no need polluting data centers.
I've been part of the team since "day 0" of this project and I'm responsible for all product-service design. In this specific project I was in charge of the whole design cycle.
The website always plays a key role in the user acquisition process. We have been questioning ourselves since the beginning of our journey on the most effective formula to communicate Cubbit's content, innovation and offers to our customers. I worked on this redesign with my design team, the marketing team and a team of developers.
In my projects I use an approach derived from Design Thinking, I use its phases in an iterative way to reach the goal. Within the team I always bring this type of approach; it is called approach because it is not a real method but the phases may not always be linear, it may be necessary to re-iterate.
In a first phase we took care of conducting several tests to validate the effectiveness of the different CTAs and the effectiveness in terms of conversion of the different strengths of Cubbit, which of these really triggered the user to subscribe to a plan or buy the product. To do this we worked on the wireframes of some landing pages with a diversification of content or structure, after a period of testing we finally went to refine the pages and conduct some A/B testing to find the most effective version at that time to talk to our target users.
In parallel I worked with the development team to summarize in a clear way for the users the technological innovation at the base of our project, with the legal and HR team for the related content part and with the CEO to better define the communication of our vision.
Once we got the results of the different tested strategies we defined the final architecture of the new site. We tried in this work to converge the results obtained, the new business objectives and the right fruition of the necessary information for the user.
We have worked finally on the finalization of the wireframes and their implementation. I followed the development team in detail during the implementation of the project ensuring that we have designed a site that allows us to learn more about the behavior of our users and able to evolve in a flexible way.
We managed to stay on schedule and achieve a satisfactory result. The site is constantly evolving (probably the version currently online is an evolution of this one), oriented to the achievement of different goals that change during time.
